Beauty On A Budget: Marie Claire Dermalogica GWP

Friday 5 October 2012

I love when a magazine have beauty GWP. This month Marie Claire (AUS) has a free Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

The Daily Microfoliant is a rice based powder that you mix with water. It has no big exfoliating beads, so it's perfect for people that like soft skin without using a rough exfoliator.

It's a deluxe size that holds 13gms. I love that it has enough product to get a lot of uses from it, so you can see actual results. I have used this before but it was a sachet that only had enough product for 3 uses. While I could feel a different, 3 days isn't really enough time to see proper results.

It also comes with a special offer. When you spend $50 or more on any Dermalogica product instore at selected salons, you get a free facial treatment. The treatment is their new Active Resurface 35 facial.

If you're thinking of taking up this offer I would suggest buying the Skin Perfect Primer which retails for $79.00. I've heard some great reviews about it from bloggers. Otherwise I love their Solar Defense Booster SPF30 ($63.00), which I love because it doesn't feel greasy or make me break out, like some sunscreen can.

See the participating salons list here

Will you be taking up the offer? What's your favourite Dermalogica product?

  3. I'm just getting into Dermalogica products and so i was very pleased with the Marie Claire offer. Am yet to get the facial but am looking forward to it. I tried the powder/exfoliant today and really liked the way it mixes with water. The powder feels coarse but not harsh and then seems to gradually dissolve into finer granules with a smooth lather. I finished off with Age Smart products. I am liking my skin ATM!!

    1. Hehehhe, it's amazing what the right products can do for your skin :) I go through times when I love my skin, and then other times hate it.

  4. I would LOVE to get this but I have a full sized one not being used right now :( I find it hard to know how much water to mix with the powder. Any ideas?

    1. Personally I just add a few drops in at a time until I get a consistancy I like. I've learnt the hard way that adding too much water too quickly will just make it watery. The same with the Alpha H Daily Exfoliant.

  8. I saw this and wasn't sure what freebie came with it but your blog mentions what it is so i grabbed a copy. I got this product from LHI August 2011 box and I like it.

It's hard to copy of the mag. The woolies i went to made go to a counter to get served as they had to remove all the samples from the mag as i was informed people were stealing them.
