These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things... October And November Favourites 2016

Sunday 11 December 2016

Over the last 2 months I've been lucky enough to try out a lot of new products. There's been some great new releases as well as rediscovering some old favourites.

Here are all of the make up, skincare and body products that I've been obsessed with....

One of the best purchases that I've made recently has to be the Models Prefer Samantha Jade Strobing PaletteI've reviewed it already (see the swatches) and have been using it a LOT since picking it up at the Priceline 40% off make up sale. This 6 pan highlighting palette is AMAZING. It's insanely pigmented and I need to reach for a tulip brush when I use this or I find that I'll end up applying too much highlight. I really love that it has a green and a lavender, which isn't normally available at the drugstore. I really hope that they release a part 2 of the SJ collection!!

One product that has confused me has been the Rimmel Fresher Skin Foundation.* I've never met a foundation that has been this difficult to use on my skin before. When it works with my skin, I adore it!! But when it doesn't, I just look like a patchy mess. I have 800 things to say about this, so I'm going to post a review on it later next week because I've been testing it for 3 weeks and have found what worked and didn't work when using this.

I've fallen back in love with the ModelCo Luminosity Shimmer Whip cream highlighter. It's a golden based highlighter that has a beautiful glow without being over the top. I like to apply this with a sponge to give a lit from within glow.

If you follow me on Instagram, you would already know that I'm obsessed with Stevie K Cosmetics lipsticks. I've bought 7 of them and need to buy 5 more to complete my collection. They're so moisturising and blend like a dream. They also have an amazing street art graffiti style packaging on the box. My favourite colour has to be "The New Black" which is a gorgeous orange matte colour. They have some amazing Christmas packs which are calling my name!

I've been using a lot of K Beauty products recently thanks to my haul from Seoul2U as well as the last Maslow and Co Korean beauty box. While I could just include everything that I've been using as a favourite I have 2 stand out products. The Neogen Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Wine Pads* really wowed me! They're double sided exfoliating pads that exfoliate you both manually and chemically. They're easy to use and leave you with skin so soft!

I also loved the COSRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask.* I like to use this 2-3 times a week. I find that this is amazing to use especially after using a clay mask. It looks like honey, but is actually a non sticky gel. Whenever I use this, my skin feels so soft and hydrated the next day.

If I'm not using K Beauty products, then I'm using natural brands. I finished up the Jurlique Purely White Skin Brightening Night Cream* last month. I adore this moisturiser. I had never really understood the importance of a night moisturiser until I used this. For a long time, I found night moisturisers to be heavy and thick but this isn't. It helps to reduce my redness and pigmentation while also giving my skin hydration. I still have the day moisturiser but will need to get another night one soon as my skin just doesn't look as radiant since I stopped using it.

I've also been so obsessed with the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Antioxidant Face Oil. I received this free when I purchased their new face essence and their oil cleanser and it was love at first use. Even though it's an oil, it feels so light on my skin. I like to use this as my face oil when I use my Jade Roller or if my skin is feeling dry, then I use this as my serum. They have 2 other types of oils that I now want to try since I love this oil so much.

I finally got around to using a matcha based mask last month. I've heard so many people rave about matcha in their food, but it was the first time that I had used it in my skincare. The Simple As That Matcha Mask* is truly a very simple but effective mask as there are only 2 ingredients in it. It comes as a powder and you add water to the powder to create the mask. I like that I have control over how thick or thin the mask is. I've also spoken about this in my natural beauty products post.

I've never been a huge coffee scrub fan as most of them are messy and have such an overpowering scent. But the Thank You Coffee Body Scrub is one that I not only liked, but fell in love with. It also contains geranium and rosewood, so it helps to give you a softer coffee scent. Thank You is a company that gives back 100% of their profits. You can even enter your products batch code to find out how the profits have positively impacted others. I will be purchasing another tub from Woolworths next week as I'm about to run out and want continue to support the brand and their charities.

What have you been loving lately?
