Review: Organix "Awapuhi Ginger Instant Recovery Mask"

Saturday 17 November 2012

I had first heard about this from Ingrid over at In Glossy Beauty. Ingrid and I have both dyed (and died) our hair a million times. She raved about this, and I knew I had to get it.

I finally took the plunge, and picked it up last week. And boy, am I glad I've tried it. It's AH-MAZING!!! I find so many hair masks aren't moisturising enough for my hair, but this has turned it from straw to silk.

I normally leave it on for 5-10 minutes, but if I have the time, I love to keep it on for 20-30 minutes.

Afterwards my hair feels so soft. It also looks glossy and shiny but not oily. It also helps to detangle my hair.

In the packaging, it's a pink cream that looks like it's going to be thick, but it actually is quite light.

It contains extract from the Hawaiian awapuhi ginger plant to moisturise your hair. To strengthen it, there is also keratin proteins. The other ingredients that make it so great for your hair are the cocoa butter, avocado and coconut oil.

It has a gorgeous tropical floral smell.

One of the things I love about this, has to be the fact that it's easily available. I can pick it up at my local supermarket or Priceline (drugstore). I normally love the O&M Seven Day Miracle Moisture Masque, but my pet hate is the fact that it's not easy for me to buy. It's available online (from Adore Beauty) or at salons, but that means going into the city.

Overall, I would really encourage you to try this. Not only is it easily accessible, it's at a great price too ($19.99 from most places or Chemist Warehouse has it on special for $12.69 currently).

What mask do you love?
XO

  1. I've used the Organix Macadamia mask in the past and absolutely loved the scent. I'm running low on my Kerastase hair mask atm so I might give this a go!

  2. I've seen this before and have always wondered how good it was! Thanks for the review :) I'm using a Keratinology one at the moment which is great but I'm open to trying new products!

    1. I adore the Keratinology mask. They are quite similar performance wise, but I would probably go with the Sunsilk mask when my hair is super damaged. This is good for making it soft, but I find the Sunsilk mask is great for repairing.

    1. I used my O&M one this morning because I was in a huge hurry. I love that it's sweet while the Organix is more of a floral smell.
