One of the best things about Christmas has to be the gift packs that are released. Not only are they great value, but the presentation of the packs are always a highlight.

I was sent the Biotherm Christmas gift pack recently, and I'm absolutely in love with it. The theme is "Protecting your skin and the sea for the holidays." Biotherm have committed to donating a minimum of 250,000 Euros to the Mission Blue charity. Mission Blue was founded by oceanographer, Dr Sylvia Earle to protect our environment and marine life. They are raising money to create a marine reserve for the Ross Sea. The Ross Sea is located in the Southern Ocean in Antarctica. The area is under threat due to industrial fishing and climate change. It has 40 species that are unique to the spot, and Mission Blue's aim is to keep the species safe.

The packaging is designed by Swedish illustrator Ingela Peterson Arrhenius. She is a children's book illustrator. It has a gorgeous underwater theme that ties in so well with the cause it's supporting. The cartoon like packaging has a mermaid, jelly fish, seahorse and even a man in a submarine. The picture is very bright, funky and still has includes the Christmas theme with a blue, red and silver colour theme. There is also a Christmas bauble, present and a sea horse with a sleigh.

The inner packaging is sleek with the products sitting in a glossy silver box.

Now onto the product...

I first used Biotherm 10 years ago. They were the first high end skincare range that I ever used. I had just finished year 12 and wanted to invest in my skin. I loved the products, and it had great results on my skin. And 10 years later, I still get great results from the range!

The box I received was suitable to normal to combination skin. It contains...

1 x Biosource Hydra-mineral cleanser toning mousse
1 x Biosource Instant Hydration Toning Lotion
1 x Aquasource Non Stop Moisturiser

The cleanser is a pastel green cream that is fantastic on my skin. It not only is easy to use, but it's also soft on my sometimes sensitive skin. It doesn't dry out or upset my skin.

The toner is cooling on my skin and doesn't leave a film or become tacky, like some toners can. I just apply it with a makeup pad, after cleansing.

The moisturiser is fantastic. It's a gel, so it never feels heavy or oily on my skin. It sinks in and makes my skin not only glow but also feel hydrated.

You can see the whole range of their Christmas Sets here and instore at Myer. They retail from $49.00 to $125.00.

Do you like the unusual Christmas packaging or do you prefer a more classic look for Christmas? What's on your Christmas Shopping list?

    1. They are really great products. I've noticed my skin sparkling since using it. It also has seemed to help my uneven skin tone too :)

  2. I've never used Biotherm before but I've always wanted to. The products look great - especially the gel moisturiser as they work best for my skin (and for some reason I find those hard to come by). It's great that they're protecting the Ross Sea! I think more effort should be put into conserving Antarctic species; there are so many species we haven't discovered yet (I'm a Zoology student so I'm a bit of a nerd about conservation :p).

    1. You're right about finding gel moisturisers. Most are creams! I love that the gel feels hydrating but sinks in quickly. And doesn't leave your skin feeling tacky. Ohhhhh, you know your stuff about the ocean!! The closest I get to the ocean is when I use sea salt spray in my hair ;) I'd love more research and money to go into conservation. I find it so amazing and beautiful, all the different species. And there is still so much more we still haven't found out about it either!
