Beauty On A Budget: Garnier "Miraculous Oil"

Tuesday 22 October 2013

This is a product launch that I almost missed out on, if it wasn't for Facebook. I saw on the Australian Garnier FB page that they were giving away 1000 of their new "Miraculous Oil" (which you can enter here). I added it onto my wishlist and continued reading my FB feed.

2 weeks ago, I was food shopping with my husband and daughter and saw that this was on sale. Since it was half price, I became a ninja and slyly snuck it into my trolley while my hubby was in another aisle.

Because I hadn't heard about this, I had no expectations about it. I've tried a few (hundred) hair oils, and I love how quickly they can transform dry, damaged hair into silk.

It's an argan based oil that instantly leaves your hair soft and shiny.

A little bit goes a long way with this oil. All I need is one pump of the oil to restore my hair, without weighing it down or making it greasy.

I like to use this either as an styling oil to give my hair shine and softness. It can be used in either wet or dry hair. I've used this for 2-3 mornings in a row without washing my hair and it didn't make my hair feel heavy or greasy (I only had greasy roots).

Another great use for this is to apply it to your hair the night before you wash it. I use 2-3 pumps then, as it doesn't matter if my hair looks or feels greasy. It gives a lot of moisture to my hair and if I'm in too much of a hurry I can skip a hair mask and still have soft hair.

The packaging is very simple. It's a plastic bottle, with a pump. I love the pump dispenser, as it's quick and mess free.

One of the best things about this, is the fact that it's super affordable ($11.95) and it's available from so many stores. It's available from supermarkets, chemists, Priceline, Target, Kmart and Big W, so it's easily accessible no matter where you live.

If a $40 hair oil is out of your budget, then pop this into your trolley next time your out shopping.

What's your favourite budget hair oil?

  1. I already have a few hair treatments on the go but I'll keep this one in mind. I like your idea of putting it on before washing your hair, I will try that next time!

  2. That's rather exciting! I like that you can put it in your hair BEFORE you wash it. And it's a real bargain at that price!
