ELES Mineral Blush Compact in "Mixed Berries"

Wednesday 19 February 2014

If you're a regular reader, you'll know that I'm obsessed with my ELES "Coral Sun" blush.

It's a gorgeous pinky coral colour that has a beautiful sheen. Whenever I use this I skip the highlighter since it already gives your cheeks a gorgeous shine. You can see my review of it here

Their newest blush release is called "Mixed Berries." It's a very different blush than anything I own. I tend to buy glowy pink blushes and was really curious how this colour would look.

In the pan, it looks incredibly dark and intimidating for me since I'm pale. I really wasn't sure how it would look.

While it's extremely pigmented, the trick to using this is to very lightly dip your blush brush into the pot. I prefer to use a slanted brush and dip just the tip into the pot rather than putting blush onto the whole brush. I then apply it to my cheeks and sweep and buff it into the skin to make sure it's an even application.

I've included 2 pictures of it, under 2 different lights. On my skin it brings out more pink/raspberry tones rather than the purple that you see in the pan.

It's been my go to blush lately. Adelaide's weather has been very strange over the last month. We've had heat waves and now rain. I've been sporting more matte make up, so this has been perfect for both rain and shine.

ELES blushes contain antioxidants and vitamins A, E and C to give your skin natural radiance.

It retails for $39.50. While it's on the pricer side, I've been using the Coral Sun blush for over 7 months now and it barely looks like it has been touched, so they're great value for money.

There's also another colour available called Rose Marble. It's on my wishlist as I absolutely love both of my ELES blushes. To see swatches of it, click here

You can purchase ELES from their website here

I bought their Colour Tides Mineral Shimmering Powder recently and the GWP was their bronzer. It was delivered incredibly quickly and safely.

Do you always buy the same blush colours like I do?
