Priceline & Mecca Cosmetica Haul + New Nuxe, Uriage and Bioderma Product Sneak Peak

Thursday 21 May 2015

On a very rare afternoon without kids, I popped into the city on Tuesday to do a little bit of shopping. I also caught up with Emilie who's the brand manager for Bioderma, Uriage and Nuxe and found out all about their new releases.
Firstly I went into Priceline. I needed to pick up some boring things like make up pads and baby shampoo, but while I was there I also saw some new goodies.

Models Prefer have release some highlight and contour products. They have a small palette that has a matte highlight and a matte contour (available in light and medium) as well as a cream highlighter stick and a cream contouring stick.

They also released a contour brush. This was a gift with purchase brush back in November, so it's great that it's now available to buy.

Face of Australia also have a new nail polish range. The colours look gorgeous.

Now onto what I bought...

I ended up buying the Real Techniques Collectors Edition Sculpting Set. I had seen this a few weeks ago on iherb for $19.99US, but with the crappy exchange rate it cost $29 + shipping. Priceline is selling it for $49.95 usually but it was on sale for $39.96. I had a $29 Priceline payback voucher so I decided to buy it from Priceline instead of ordering it from iherb.

It contains a fan brush, sculpting brush and the setting brush (which is available to buy individually).  The sculpting brush is also available to buy, but I've only seen it on iherb to buy not in store.

I also picked up this great Models Prefer Super Grip Bobby Pins 120 pack. I love the plastic dome packaging. I'm hoping that keeping them in this style of packaging will mean that I won't lose as many bobby pins! These were on sale for $4.99 and are available in blonde, brown and black.

I also picked up these Models Prefer Mini Travel Tube Mini Poly Bands (small elastics). I love to use these clear elastics for braids. They're budge proof and look much better than a thicker darker elastic. There's 100 elastics in the small tube for only $4.99!

I also went into Mecca Cosmetica. They have some amazing new products, but I'm trying to not buy any make up before I finish sorting out my current storage situation.

I ended up buying the Mecca Cosmetica Brush With Success brush cleaner for when I need to do a quick spot clean. I also picked up the Beauty Loop level 1 box while I was there. It contained...
By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder (1.3g)
Ren Micro Polish Cleanser (5g)
Too Faced Shadow Insurance (sachet)
NARS Pro-Prime Light Optimizing Primer (sachet)

I also met up with Kate from Seduced By Beauty to see Emilie at Koko Black. We learnt about new products that are being released from Uriage, Bioderma and Nuxe over the next 3-4 months.  We found out more about the Bioderma Hydrabio range, which is now in store and online at Priceline and available online at Adore Beauty. Emilie gifted us the Hydrabio Serum and Hydrabio Toner. The serum will be fantastic to use over winter, but I'm REALLY excited about the toner.

I read a LOT of blogs and watch a lot of youtube (youtube makes cleaning the kitchen much more enjoyable) and I'm so surprised at how many girls skip toner. I grew up in the 90s (before serums and oils were a thing) and was taught by Dolly magazine that I needed to cleanse, tone and moisturise. And 15 years later I still do that (although now I have a few extra steps in my skincare routine!). I can't live without my toner.

We also were given a Uriage Lip Balm which will be available in a stick form. I've used their original lip balm before and it's very hydrating.

The other thing that I was overjoyed about is a whitening range from Nuxe, "Nuxe White", that will be released in a few months. There aren't a lot of options at the chemist/Priceline when it comes to whitening and brightening products. Many don't have a lot of results, so it's great that a brand like Nuxe has released a range as they thoroughly test their products.

All of the products from the range are under $50, so its an affordable range which I'm sure will be a huge seller once it's available here. Kate and I received a serum and a tissue mask. I can't wait to start using these!

And that was my mini haul!

Have you tried the Bioderma Hydrabio range yet? If you purchase anything from Adore Beauty until Saturday, you'll receive a deluxe sample of the Hydrabio serum!

    1. The brush cleanser is great! It makes life so much easier than having to wash my brushes every couple of days.
