These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things: April Favourites 2015

Monday 11 May 2015

I've been trialling some new products lately and have found some amazing holy grail items. Recently my favourites posts have been heavy on the skincare but this month I've had a lot of make up favourites.

Skincare

I fell in love with Coast To Coast after being sent 3 of their products. They sell them at David Jones (and Sephora) and I've picked up 4 of their products. This Coast To Coast Skin Illuminating Cleansing Oil is fantastic! It helps to quickly and easily remove my make up with no residue. I also purchased the Coast To Coast Skin Whitening Facial Polish which is one of the best exfoliators (and skincare items) that I've ever used! It's a bit gritty without being rough. I use it every 2-3 days, but would use it morning and night if I could! It's that good.

Pregnancy and birth has left me with an uneven skintone and a bad case of breakouts, which have left me with red marks. To get rid of them quickly, I've been using 2 serums. An all rounder serum from L'Oreal and the Obagi Professional-C Serum 10% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum.* This has 10% vitamin C, which is slightly higher than my previous serum that I was using (That was 7%). I'm really loving this and depending on my results, I might try the 15% or 20% version after finishing this.

Body

In the morning I like to use the Lush Yummy Mummy Body Conditioner.* I love that it moisturises my skin as normally I'm rushing to get ready. I've only got one or two more uses left, but have found if I mix the Yummy Mummy Shower Gel with the Nivea In Shower Body Lotion, then I get a cheap dupe for the Yummy Mummy Body Conditioner.

To help relax me at night, I love using the A'kin Lavender Body Wash.* It has a gorgeous scent and helps to wash away the days stresses. I've also used this as bubble bath for my 4 year old and it was fantastic as there were a lot of bubbles and it helped her fall asleep easily. I was just sent the matching body lotion, so I'm looking forward to using that.

Hair

Another crappy post pregnancy issue has been dry hair. Every wash I've been using the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque. It's a beautiful mask that's helping to get my hair soft and silky. It's not as amazing as my Wella SP Luxe Oil mask, but it's up there in the top 5.

Make Up

I've been wearing more bright lip colours, so I've been sticking to neutral eyes. I've either been using the Essence "Hazel Me Not" Eyeshadow* or the Napoleon Perdis Nude U Eyes, Cheeks and Brows Palette.* I like the fact that the NP one has multiple shades, so I don't have to reach for extra eyeshadows if I'm doing a smokey eye look.

I've been using the Mirenesse 10 Collagen Cushion Compact Airbrush Liquid Powder for when I want full coverage or the Arbonne Sheer Finish Tinted Moisturiser* for those days when I want a more natural look. To hide the redness, I've been using the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer on my cheeks and chin.

I've finished my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and have been using the Nude By Nature Pressed Mattifying Mineral Veil. I loved the original powder but this pressed version is even better as it's easier to use (and mess free too!).

And lastly, I'm loving the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. Other than the blushes being beautiful, I love the fact that I have 3 blushes in the one compact that look different and I can pick based on my mood or what colour lipstick I'm wearing.

And they've been what I've been reaching for in April. Check out my instagram page here to see the other products that I'm loving.
