Friday's Favourites

Friday 25 May 2012

This week has been a busy one and I've got lots of favourites for you!

What I'm wearing...

I'm still battling the last of my cold (the damn thing just won't leave me alone!), and for the last few weeks my hair, skin and nails have been suffering. I'm trying to take my vitamins everyday, be religious with my skincare, giving my skin extra time to breathe by not putting make up on if I'm home and using Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Thickener. My nails have been breaking so much that I barely have any left. I have so many nail polishes I've been wanting to try, but firstly I needed to get my nail into tip top shape. So I've been applying this before bed nearly every night since Sunday. I've found that not only are my nails thicker, but they've been growing faster than usual. If you're in need of healthy nails, try this out!!

I've really been loving my Revlon Just Bitten lip stain. I have "Passion" and it's a gorgeous pink. The stain is perfect for work since it's long lasting. And I love the lip balm on the other end to hydrate my lips.

I'm trying to use up my older perfumes, and have been wearing Vera Wang "Rock Princess." I love how fruity this is, but am wanting to finish it so I can buy a winter fragrance. Do you also swap fragrances for winter?

Things I'm lusting for...

I can't wait until the Face Of Australia's Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons are released. The Bella Sugar review made me want them NOW! I'll have to wait until June until they are released, but have a predicament!. Ingrid from Glossy Beauty and I are on a spending ban in June. Doesn't it make you break out into a sweat thinking about not buying ANY beauty products for a whole month?!?! I'm already trying to break the rules and working out ways around it. Does me giving my hubby money to buy beauty products break the rules? So I'm hoping my local Priceline gets them on the 31st May so I don't need to break the rules!

Blogs Or Blog Posts I've loved so much I've read more than once...

Ingrid from Glossy Beauty has been bedazzling her nails with Gold Glitter. I love the contrast on the pink. I have a similar gold sparkle polish from Sportsgirl which I am planning on using tonight or tomorrow.

I've had hair envy from looking at pictures of the Made Up Maiden. How incredibly healthy and long is her hair!!! I'm majorly jealous that my hair will never grow that long.

Michaela from Lather Rinse Repeat did a great review of a Relvon nail polish. I love her writing! She's funny, honest and the kind of girl you want to be friends with. Quick, check out her blog especially if you need a laugh after a stressful week!

Ms Billi Lilli did a great post about being make up free in public. Honestly, the thought scares me. I like to put my best self forward, and use make up as a way to do that. So personally I couldn't do it, but I think Billi looks gorgeous make up free!! It's also great to have her back blogging!

On My Mind...

How cold it is!!! I'm going to have to get a VERY warm jacket soon.

What have been your favourites this week?
XO

  1. I can't wait to see those lip crayons either... On the whole I'm a big fan of FoA products! :) My favourite this week has been my HG body moisturiser - Vaseline Cocoa Butter body lotion. Handy for this cool weather in which my skin can dry out a bit.
    Get well soon! :)

    1. I've tried that before and its good. I prefer the Palmer's one a little more since it's thicker.

  2. It is FREEZING. :( It bucketed down all day today in Melbourne and I am currently home, having just finished a cup of tea and now contemplating red wine instead. :( Shame you're still not well, it sucks being sick!

I can't believe you and Ingrid are on a ban! O M G...But how good of both of you!

I can't wait to try the FOA glosses either! They sound lovely!

Thank you so much for the shout out, but you're being silly, your hair WILL and CAN be just as long, you just need some patience hehe...and getting the keratin treatment also helps to make it more manageable, I got mine down 2 months ago!

PS, Billi Lilli looks fabulous without make up, I have skin envy!

And I love Ingrid's gold glitzy nails! ;)

  7. Aw thanks, you're too nice *bookmarks page to prove to the Boyfriend that I'm funny*

I need those lip crayons, like everyone else, but I just know I'll use them twice each and then forget about them. Same thing happened with me and the Australis Showstopper gloss sticks. Way too easily distracted.
