Bellabox October 2012

Friday 12 October 2012

This months Bellabox is a big one! It's their 1st birthday. They are also donating $1 from every October box to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. To tie in with that, the box's theme is "Pretty In Pink Party".

Here's what was in the box...

Cedel Blow Dry Faster Heat Protector (Full size - $9.99 for 165mls)
I have to admit that I don't use heat protectant that much. It's not because I'm lazy with heat protectant, but mostly because I leave my hair to air dry so I'm not really sure how much this will be used. I love the pink packaging!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color in "Sonic Bloom" (Full size - $13.99 for 9.17mls)
I love Sally Hansen polishes, and this colour is no exception. It's a gorgeous bright pink. It's perfect for Breast Cancer Month! Now all I need is the time to be able to paint my nails!!

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Instant Action Lift Treatment (5ml sample)
I haven't really used Estee Lauder before. I know a lot of people see them as a "mature aged" brand, and I agree with them. I don't really need a "lift" yet, so this will be given to my mum.

Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Radiance Renewer (7ml sample)
This is an exfoliating serum that you apply after cleansing and before moisturising. While I love the sound of this, I'm already using a serum I love (L'Oreal Youth Code Luminosity Extraordinary Serum), so I'll be waiting to finish that first.

Elf Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF15 (Full size - $3.99)
Elf are a great budget beauty brand that are big in America, but not so much here. This is mostly due to the fact that it's only available online here (and at a higher price). The lipgloss is SUPER glossy with a sweet smell. I adore a glossy lip, so it's perfect for me. If you hate shiny, glossy lips then I hope you received one of their other products like the Brightening Eye Colour or Liquid Eyeliner. They also have the Hypershine Gloss in the boxes too.

DKNY Fresh Blossom Eau So Intense (1.5ml sample)
I love the idea of a perfume sample, but have a box full of them. I always think I'm going to use them, especially when I go travelling, but in reality I don't because I end up taking the perfume I'm currently using (Marc Jacobs Daisy). While this smells nice and subtle, it will probably end up in the box along with all the other perfume samples I've received from all of the beauty boxes.

Now there was also one other beauty product in the box. It wasn't on the card, so I'm not quite sure if it's an added extra, last minute inclusion or just found it's way in the box.

Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm in Pink Sheer Tint (Full size) Back in July we received the original formula of this lip balm, which I still haven't used!! I've had a LOT of lip balms from the various beauty boxes in the last year and am (slowly) making my way through them. But I may give my hubby the other and try this out! I love a tinted lip balm since they are perfect for work. Worrying about lipstick can be such a hassle when you're busy at work so I prefer tinted lip balms and tinted lip glosses.

So that was this months Bellabox. I'm quite happy with it, although there was nothing that stuck out as a OMG product.

Did you get a different box? Let me know in the comments below!
XO

  7. I have to say I haven't really regretted dropping my Bellabox subscription, but this box does look quite good. I like the look of that polish and the perfume sample, which I tend to just toss into my work bag to use during the day or before I go out after work. I also like it for popping into a clutch purse on a night out. :)

Love Carmex so interested to see what you think of that new product!

    xx
