Aum "Firming Eye Cream" Review

Saturday 6 April 2013

Over the last 6 months, I've really noticed that I've aged around my eyes. I have fine lines, but the rest of my skin seems to be wrinkle free.

I've been trying quite a few eye creams since noticing the lines, and this is one of my favourites that I've tried.

"Aum" is an Australian organic skincare company, which has a core focus on anti aging. I've used their Rosehip Oil and it became my holy grail RHO (you can read about that here).

I've been using this day and night and have noticed a difference with my fine lines. They aren't as pronounced since using this.

It contains Aum's signature marine complex, okra and argan extract. These ingredients help to tighten, moisturise and even skintone around the eye area.

The packaging is quite different than what I've used before. It has a "dropper" applicator (like an eye dropper), which I haven't used before when it comes to eye products. At first I thought I wouldn't like the applicator, but I really loved it. It's easy to use and is really easy to work out how much to apply.

The last eye cream I used was a gel formula and I didn't really like it. I found it made my skin feel tight and dry, so I was very happy to find that this formula is a cream. Which makes more sense as the eyes are more likely to get dry and damaged from the sun.

My only hesitation in using a heavier cream-like formula, has to be the fact that I'm prone to milia. But I had no issues with milia from using this.

I love the outer packaging too. It's gold and looks very luxe.

This retails for $26.95 for 15mls, which is great value. Even using it twice a day, you should get between 8-10 months use out of it, depending if you use a little or a lot. Personally I found that one drop was enough to use around both eyes.

You can also use this between your eyebrows and around your lips to prevent aging.

The 2 Aum products that I've tried, I've loved. So hopefully the next one I try I will love too. I'm looking at the Bio Nourishing Jojoba Oil, as I'm having a love affair with facial oils at the moment.

Aum is available in health food stores and Myer. Australian and New Zealanders can see your local stockist here

Do you use an eye cream? Are you active in also preventing lip lines and brow/forehead lines?
