First Impressions: Innoxa "Skin Perfecting Foundation" 5 in 1 BB Cream

Monday 10 June 2013

In the last 2 years, BB creams have been such a hyped up wonder product. While there's some great BB cream available, it seems like 85% of the ones available are just repackaged tinted moisturisers.

I recently bought the newish Innoxa Skin Perfecting Foundation 5 in 1 BB Cream, see my haul here, and have been using it for the last 2 days.

I bought "Buff" which is their lightest shade. One issue with a lot of BB creams is their lack of colour range. There is normally only 2, maybe 3, colours available. Innoxa have 5 colours available, and they cater for darker skintones which is great as many girls have had to miss out on affordable BB creams due to only having a "light" and "medium" shade available.

The packaging is quite simple, and is really easy to use. It's in a plastic tube, so it's a great handbag or travelling option.

The formula is a mixture of skincare and make up. It contains green tea and chamomile to soothe the skin, liquorice for an even skintone and pomegranate extract which is high in antioxidants.

According to their website, this is...

"Formulated to help balance & correct skin tone, brighten skin, calm & soothe skin, reduce redness, and reduce pigmentation."

I suffer from pigmentation and redness. Most BB creams and tinted moisturisers don't give enough coverage to hide or minimise it.

The Innoxa one is far more superior than other BB creams that I've tried. While it hasn't covered all of my pigmentation (which is quite red on my cheeks), it did lessen it and made my skintone more even.

It's a really moisturising formula that's easy to apply and set. If you have oily skin, you might want to either prep your skin with a mattifying primer or set it with a powder. While I haven't used it, Sweetaholic Beauty loves the new Australis "Matte Out Mattifying Face Base" which you apply before your primer (or before your BB cream).

The finish is beautiful because it gives you a radiant glow, without using shimmers, glitters or looking oily.

I've used this with a primer, and without, and it lasted all day on both occasions. I just set it with a powder.

It costs $24.95 for 30mls.

While I was instore picking this up, I also saw their new Lift And Firm Concealer, which is a concealer with a metal rollerball applicator to help cool your eyes. Sadly they were out of my shade.

Which is your favourite BB cream.
XO

PS Innoxa have 2 GWP running at the moment at selected chemists and Myer. See their website homepage here for information on both GWP's. While you're at their website, check out their limited edition matte "Ruby Red" lipstick!! It's so incredibly beautiful.

  2. Oh darn, I shouldn't have read this. :P Now I'm really tempted to pick up Ruby Red and a couple of other things! :P

I am a bit iffy about BB creams because some of the western ones have broken me out badly. I do switch between the Garnier for normal to oily skin and the L'Oreal Paris BB cream, that's probably my favourite. :)
